Impressive

"fuon" My toddler just wrote that using the skills he learned in this game. Sure its not perfect, but hes two. Back off a little.

Its okay

My daughter learned each letter sound by using the bobs books app. I was looking for a similar app so I bought this. She doesnt seem to like this one as much, although it is a similar concept. The other one allowed her to put sentences together by spelling one word at a time. Helpful hint though, go into settings in this game and change it to phonics so the letter sound is said and not the actual letter.

Fun

Fun and easy to use. Great for preschoolers.

Good for toddler to preschooler

Both my boys love this app. They are 2 and 5. Great learning app with intuitive, user friendly controls.

Fantastic

This is my grandsons favorite app and I think it is really great for him.

My 2 year old loves it!

He just turned two last month and found the lite version on my tablet. He sat and figured out each word in it by himself. After he finished playing it, he wanted more so (and I dont normally do this) I broke down and bought it. Best $5 I have spent on an app in years! Hes already been through the vehicles and color parts by himself, and just started back on the vehicles. Im lucky to have gotten the tablet time to write this review. Very easy for a two year old to play, and hes getting the matching down and recognizing sounds that the letters make after one day already. Kudos and thank you for a great and fun learning tool!

Awesome app

My 4yr old loves this app. He is non verbal so this app has helped him expand his understanding of more words.i say a color and he goes and looks for it on this app very happy with this purchase.

Amazing!

I got the sampler, then upraded to the full version. Totally worth the money. My son goes back to this app over and over!!

Teaches kids to sight read! Great app!!

My three year old loves this app and is now able to spell and read words! Its amazing. What 3 year old knows how to read "Zamboni"? Mine does! XD

Responsive and Fun with lots of Options

Great app with logical parental controls and many options. With or w/o hints, short, long or random length words, force left to right or random. My son has "graduated" through the different options and chooses this app over others. Its easy to understand what to do, good feedback for errors, quick response when touching and dragging the letters. Also offers categories for what words you spell, i.e. home, colors, animals, etc. Or choose all words and get random mix. Nice options to keep the game fresh or growing with the child. Its really worth it to get the Deluxe version. App works the same on iPad and iPhone and my son doesnt care which device hes on as long as he can play. The biggest thing is he is spelling these words outside of the app now and isnt that the point? Win.

Fun and encouraging

My 2 year old daughter loves this game. It is amazing to see her put the letters in the right spot.

Absolutely great learning game!!!!

My 18 month old loves this game! So easy for him and saying the letters helps his abcs tremendously!! We upgraded and so glad we did! Would love to see a section for fruits too. Love this game for my toddler!

Just wow

Thanks to this app my 2 year old knows her abcs upper and lower case. She spells everything on sight. We try to keep her time limited to electronics. Its nice to have a good educational app for when she does use it.

Simple but (therefore) attention-grabbing

4 thumbs UP! (2 from me, 2 from the kid) Our 3.5-year-old will easily sit half an hour playing this game (he would keep going if Id let him). I like its simplicity without extra fluff. All the setup options are very intuitive and straight forward too. Our son kept picking letters out of order, and it was bugging the OCD in me. So I went to settings, and there it was, the "left to right" option. Tada! Weve only played the shapes category so far, but I like the variety that goes beyond the regular, way too common geometric shapes. Having the Japanese option was actually the determining factor for us, and I would think any parents who are raising their children in one of the optional languages would really appreciate the multi-lingual function. We had the free version for a long time but now that our son is really picking up on letters and sounds, we decided to get the full version even though I knew the app was old with no updates of late. But lo and behold, I was pleased to see that it was just updated a month ago! Yay! The animation and the drawings are very basic, which can be improved, I suppose. I do however like the bold (again, simple in a good way) colors.

Love this app for early literacy skills!

In settings there is an option to make the user spell from left to right. Everytime you select a letter, the app says it and then will spell the word and pronounce it. My three year is definitely engaged and will repeat the letters along with the app!
